Problems started the very first day when the contact person we had met at the office did not come to do the check-in. They sent someone with little experience in the matter. The checkin was performed poorly and the report including the photographs were never sent, which later caused serious problems. During twelve months only one visit to the property was done. It was "surprise" and the staff member did not even knock on the door, he simply entered (being in the morning we were having a shower and getting dressed, althought not fully, which was embarrasing).
The behaviour of the staff member was inadequate. He was late, he changed the meeting dates with a very short notice. He made inappropriate comments and touched our belongings, including food. He was specially rude not even saying goodbye when he left the property. He forgot to send the contract papers before the meeting to sign them, therefore, causing an extremely long meeting for the rest of the people. He did not perform the check out when one of the tenants left, which caused serious problems later, including unnecessary expenses for the tenants. He was not aware of the checking out dates of some tenants even though multiple emails had been sent to him previously. He was impossible to reach by phone and would not answer the emails, even urgent ones (the where marked as so). Their repairing service is terrible. Changing a single tap (that had been broken even before we entered the flat) took weeks which forced us to shower in the gym everyday (they did not offer a discount in the rent for that). They quality of their repair service is not better. Within days of doing the work, some joints in the bathroom would be destroyed again.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Although some of the office staff is friendly and helpful, this particular property manager is disrespectful, and lazy. He does not like his job and makes the tenants feel bad.
