Unquestionably the worst estate agents in London! We purchased our first house from Chestertons Islington, which took a grand total of 7 months to exchange on. Within that time we received about 2-3 "accurate" updates on why exactly there was such a huge chain and the various movements - we were kept in the dark for months. My boyfriend and I had to live out a suitcase, paying through the nose for temporary accommodation during this period, something we could have easily prepared for had we have been given more information on what exactly was going on.
Finally completion day arrives. We collect the keys, attempt to move in and Chestertons have failed to give us a full set of keys. There was 1.5 hours of waiting with a removal van + 2 hire men for someone to deliver the correct keys. Incredibly stressfull on your "big day" as you can imagine.
We try to claim the £60 wasted on the removal van and Chestertons point blank refuse. They are extremely rude, unhelpful and try to argue it is not their problem.
The above explanation does not even skim the surface of how awful it has been dealing with Chestertons. A highly disappointing service.

Agreed. I've had several problems with them and as a Landlord, Thereis a lot of mismanagement and alack of communication. They don't read their emails and get all their facts wrong. To top it all off an agent, Shan was rude to me on the phone when I had enquired why I would recieve any rental income 5 months later. In 15 years of letting, i've never experienced an agent this rude to me.

I had a good experience with Simon. He was true to his word arranging us good quality service apartment accommodation in central London at a very reasonable price. We were keen to have contactless delivery at an awkward time (the small hours of a Monday morning) but everything went off without any problems.
