Dexters has been absolutely appalling in managing my property. They failed to communicate with me when the tenants stopped paying the person managing my houses didn't even know that it had fallen 2 months behind in rent. Meanwhile the tenants trashed my house burn marks on the walls, destroyed the carpets dog mess and vomit everywhere and did a midnight runner!! Dexters refused to enter the property to inspect it because the tenants had a dog. The tenancy said no dogs but after they breeched this part of the tenancy dexters persuaded me to keep this little puppy as to not upset the tenants. Turns out the Pittbull was massive meaning that Hellena was in fear of her life, so couldn't expect. When the neighbours complained explaining they were going to the police because my tenants were behaving so badly no one called me to discuss this. Now I am left with rent arrears, £2500 damage to my house and angry neighbours. DONT USE THIS AGENT unless you can manage the lease yourself !! In addition the tenant came highly recommended from dexters themselves what on earth would a tenant who wasn't recommended by them be like !
What agent could do to change your mind?
They have written to me explaining new systems are in place and they did all they could do!! Oh and waived the ‚£150 check out fee.

Comment on agent fees
The fees would be reasonable if they protected the landlords interests as it stands I can't see what I have paid for. Would have been far better letting it myself!!!

We have noted your comments and do feel that we have done what we can in the circumstances regarding the tenancy and condition of your property on the lead up to the vacation of your tenants and after the tenants vacated.
We do have an in internal complaints procedure and if you have not been satisfied with our service you do have recourse to this, following this if you are still not satisfied, you can refer the matter to The Property Ombudsman for an independent review. It is disappointing to us if our relationship with any clients does not end amicably and we are prepared for our service levels to be reviewed by an arbitrary body if necessary in order that we can review and improve our services. However, I understand the Branch is currently in the process of working with you to ensure the property is restored to it’s former condition and quality tenants are found swiftly.
If you remain unhappy with the outcome and would like to e-mail further details to [email protected], I can investigate the situation for you.
Kind regards
Marilyn
