Overall an extremely disappointing experience and would certainly now go out of my way to NOT recommend dealing with that company to everyone I meet. It may be the specific individual whom we were dealing with that let it all down, but none the less a bad rep for the company in all.
For context we were looking for a place to rent. Saw the ad through Rightmove and sent a request. They were very fast to make contact and then arrange viewing. All good. They were polite and professional. Then unfortunately it goes down hill from there.
It was Thursday evening 5th of May when the viewing happened. The agent promised to provide details of the inventory associate with the flat the following day (after the viewing). Nothing arrived, and absolutely no contact. So I followed up on Monday 9th (left messages, no response) and then Tuesday 10th. Finally got hold of him who then promised to send it through that afternoon. Then nothing. On Wednesday 11th, followed up again, then finally he sent it through with an apology saying he had forgotten!!
Having reviewed the inventory, we put in an offer that evening. Then followed up the next day to confirm he received it. He confirmed that was the case, but have not read it, and would do so and get back to us later that day. Guess what, we didn't hear back. Followed up again on Friday 13th, then only to be told that someone else's offer was higher so it was a no go.
Now, whilst it may seem all of this happened within a span of 1 week, if anyone knows what the rental market is like in London right now, fast action is required in order to secure anything decent. The fact of the matter is, the agent we were dealing with promised to 'deliver' something, and continually not. In otherwise very poor customer expectation management.
Don't commit to something you cannot deliver on.
Their agents (or maybe that specific one we were dealing with) needs to attend some customer relationship training in my opinion.
Until they improve their standards, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole for anything either as a tenant or a landlord.
