Weirdly, I have never met anyone from Tennens - our whole transaction was accomplished over the telephone and by e-mail. They were recommended by one of their business partners - who is a family friend and knew we were struggling letting our property. The staff at Tennens knew the American market (which is where we were aiming for) and whilst they were surprised that it took longer than normal to secure a tenant - the property was let within the month - brilliant. They are a small Bury St. Edmunds agent - trying to get into an area that is over-run with Mildenhall agents. But, having said that I found their service sound - we had been utterly let down by the incompetence from one of these Mildenhall agents. I think the biggest compliment you could give is if you used a company again - and we both would use and recommend Tennens. Thank you.
Comment on agent fees
I think that the agent's fees are very fair - we were told immediately that they would be slightly higher due to travel from Bury St Edmunds - but due to rising fuel costs - we also thought this was fair. Other agents would "hide" these fuel costs in their fess anyway. We liked the fact that Tennens were straightforward.
