Cranmore is a thriving village and a popular hub for steam train enthusiasts. The East Somerset Railway, café and East Somerset Models (an independent shop) are located in the village. Whilst Shepton Mallet, an historic market town with the usual features, plus a Mulberry Store and Kilver Court (a designer outlet) provides all amenities. The bustling Cathedral City of Wells, about 9 miles away, with its many concerts and cultural events also offers a range of facilities.
