We have loved every minute of living here. We didn’t intend to stay nearly as long as we have but enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay. As musicians, living in a detached house has been the biggest bonus because we have been free to practise and record without the worry of noise to and from neighbours; there is a real sense of freedom one gets from living in a detached property which we have never taken for granted. We have thoroughly enjoyed the location of the house. It is a short walk to Kingston Station and Nuffield Health gym (the convenience has made us regular visitors to the gym) and the stunning Richmond Park is at the end of our road. We go the park nearly every day for walks with the dog or a cycle ride and in lockdown being able to roam around in such a beautiful open space has been invaluable. Both our sons attend The Kingston Academy, which is an excellent, now over-subscribed Secondary School (awarded Outstanding in ever area by Ofsted) and within walking distance from our house. The area is friendly and very safe, with plenty of places for teenagers to meet up so our boys have enjoyed that in particular. They have Richmond Park, Latchmere Rec, the gym, a cinema complex, a theatre and shopping centre all on their doorstep! For us, the accessibility into London has been essential for our work. There are plenty of regular trains into London and easy access to Heathrow.
