Frisby Lakes is a brand new Scandinavian lodge development of 59 residential specification solid log cabins set within a 100 acre beautiful country lake park that you can enjoy for a full 12 months of the year.
We are situated between the villages of Frisby on the Wreake and Asfordby, just outside of Melton Mowbray. Without even leaving the Park there are beautiful lakeside walks, nature trails, lake swims and picnic spots. The Park hosts an outstanding array of wildlife, from rabbits, herons, kingfishers, and swans to stoats, mink, and muntjac deer.
Here at Frisby Lakes we are passionate about fishing. Log cabin owners benefit from an annual family fishing ticket. This enables you full access to the main 36 acre lake, the smaller 18 acre lake overlooked by the lodge park and an easily fishable stretch of the River Wreake as well. So from fishing novice to professional we can cater for all skill levels.
The lakes and open space surrounding them also offer other benefits such as swimming, nature walks and jogging paths, determined only by your pace. Let`s not overlook the health benefits of simply spending quality time together in the beautiful outdoors enjoying the tranquility and fresh air the park has to offer. Each Log Home is built to exceed residential specification, with a full 10 year manufacturers warranty as standard and manufactured to your exact design requirements. You can either chose from one of our many design templates and tweak it to suit you or work with us to design your own unique layout from scratch. The finished product will then be set within your own unique plot with parking for two cars and private verandah.
At Frisby Lakes we knew we had a great product with the park but we felt very uneasy about what lodges to sell because of one thing that we are all very aware of......DEPRECIATION. This is why we have decided to exclusively sell Log Cabins. Depreciation of lodges and park homes on most parks is determined by two things, 1. The reluctance of the park owner to sell a customers used lodge or park home when they can instead sell a new one to a new customer on that pitch and 2. The set trade value that is dictated by the Caravan and Park Home glasses guide. Most traditional park homes and lodges have a year of manufacture 2014/2015 for example. With the introduction of new models each year the nice new park home you have just purchased is quickly obsolete and ten years later when the 2025 models are released trying to sell your park home for anywhere near the price you originally paid for it is virtually impossible.
Our Log Cabins, are simply that. Log Cabins with no model year and will be built the same for the next 50 years. As house prices go up so will your log home accordingly. The price you or your family eventually sell your log home for will be determined by the park, location and what new similar lodges are going for?.. not by a little book. In short, Frisby Lakes is one of the only parks where a Lodge purchase can not only be and investment in your lifestyle but in your pocket too.
Our lodges may be priced slightly higher than some of our competitors but when you see the quality you will understand why and the extra money will be money saved on depreciation the second you spend your first night.
