The fees are very high, but as soon as the contract is signed they don't do much when emergency happens. There are gas, alarm and security checks, but when water floods the flat nobody cares. This is unacceptable.

As we've previously informed you (and your parents), we were not made aware of these works by the landlord or the block management company (that manage the communal parts/building exterior) about the scaffolding. Support landlords who try to be fair. Don't overcharge the tenant or landlord for every little thing (contracts, gas safety, check in, check out). be professional in your contact with people, both avoiding chasing when you have been asked not to and responding when there are queries. Follow through, the obligations don't stop at the point of agreeing a let.
