Unfortunately we did not have any control of how the other agent passed over the documentation to us. This was over 4 years ago now and we do not know who you are so therefore can not give you an explanation for your case. It may have been that the other agents did not pass on our bank details correctly or that you had the incorrect bank details so assumed that you were paying us, or it could have been something that could quite quickly have been resolved. We accompany all of our viewings in a professional manner and would never allow a stranger to enter a property without us accompanying them. All tenants get a least 24hrs notice of a viewing. All deposits are lodged in the deposit protection service and we follow there protocol. ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
I rang Richard Candy to look at a paddock I was interested in renting. He is very rude he asks you if you have cash as he does not take cheques or cards, and that was the first few words out of his mouth, before even getting to details about Paddock. He then went on to tell me I had to pay ‚£95 for reference plus vat. Also said I would have to pay 6 months up front which I thought was a bit much. He said it was due the the Owner of the paddock needing the rent!! I was bit gob smacked as that is quite personal to discuss someone's personal financial information to a stranger. I had the feeling this was not quite right and decided to not go forth with my visit to look at paddock and the way Richard Candy spoke to me was not very pleasant. He is very biast against anyone who may be in receipt of any form of government help which I am not, also he talks to you as if your a peasant and he is a king he's whole way of thinking and judging people is wrong and he needs to realise that he himself is now being judged and people are coming out and speaking the truth. He is not above the law and he is no way respected by anyone, I have a feeling the nice comments on here are fabricated and people who are friends of his have written on here to make him feel better. You should be ashamed of yourself Richard Candy, you have just rented a house few doors from me to a young family and I doubt you told them about the damp, but in your case Condensation, and the fact that 4 other tenants have moved in the space of 6 years due to the DAMP, and that it has made people ill. Lets hope you get your just desserts and that you are held accountable for your disgusting behaviour and lack of humanity.

Again we do not know who you are, we are a VAT registered company and we have an accountant that does our books every year. This information can be found at company house. In fact Cash transactions cost us more to process as the bank charges us extra fees for this. ...

Hi angry mum - I can assure u the house was left in a poor poor state and crammed full of disgusting rubbish - why on earth should I b left to clear it up and ship it out - plain lazy . Ciderwithrosie as stated I do not know which property you are referring too as we have quite a few properties in the BA3 area. If I knew who you are then I would be able to look into your case for you. We would never be able to evict someone after being late for two hours with the rent - If you are late paying rent then we would chase the rent to get the payment as any agent would. ...

All of our tenants know that when they live in one of our properties that it is stated in the contract, that the carpets need to be professionally cleaned on vacating the property, this is informed to them when they sign the contract and again on the check out letter. We certainly do not have any affiliation with any carpet cleaners and what the tenants get charged is exactly the same as the carpet cleaning firm has charged us, no extras (some other agents would add extra onto this for having to ...

If you were a true landlord then you would use your real name and put a complaint to us in writing at our address. We can not resolve what we do not know. All of our landlord's sign terms of engagement when they put there property on the market with us and this shows all of the charges that will be made. If you were one of our tenants then you would know that we do not operate out of a PO Box address we have a branch at the address as advertised on this website. We do use the deposit protection scheme as you have suggested above and it is there to protect the tenants and to be fair and just. Dire. The agency should be shut down. A child almost died when a (high) cupboard fell off the wall (inches from his head) and they didn't even apologise. So relieved to be out of there. Completely uncaring for it's tenants. Care about money not people.

Sorry Ninja we do not know who you are, we certainly do not take money from anyone. We put all of the deposits' into the deposit protection service and if there is a dispute then their adjudicator will sort this out. If you are inferring regarding to agency fees these are non refundable if you pull out or fail the referencing and credit check procedure. This is clearly informed before you hand any money over and is also reiterated on the application form which you sign. ...
