Carried out the repairs and brought the property up to the standard it should have been. They received a lot of money over the years and I never was in arrears. So it was very unfair.

We are currently going through the same nightmare of trying to extend our lease with Freshwater. If you really must go down this path make sure you use a solicitor who is a specialist in Lease Law and that is fully aware of Freshwater's reputation. They are the absolute pits to deal with. Beware of very over rated valuations from their surveyors, non-communication and downright obstruction! ...

Respond to my requests, maintain the property and provide a fair service, send me my reference confirmation to the new letting agency instead of pushing my buttons and achieved to get to the point where I will escalate my problems to a higher level.

What agent could do to change your mind?
totally alter their customer service and adopt a more professional, transparent and more ethical approach when dealing with leaseholders who effectively are the one's stumping up considerable fees to freshwater. Also take a pro-active approach to maintaining buildings rather than having to be asked to do something by residents who then have to endure lengthy delays to see if anything is done.....they are positively mickey mouse
