When I was a vendor it was really important to me that buyers properly checked out i.e there chain and financial position I don't understant why you wouldn't go in to do that after all a house purchase is one of the biggest decsions you will ever make. It sounds to me that the agent is doing there job. An almost identical situation from the Worthing branch re the overinflated starting price and fixed commission , we have dropped twice from 389,950 to a serious buyer on 348,000 but they are still trying to get their sticky mitts on the £7k worth of commission based on the deliberately high valuation. We only fell for it because they alleged that the London buyers were desperate for just such a place. Not a single out of town viewing.
And no doubt spinning the perfectly decent prospective buy ...

For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
