It is central to our working practice that we treat both landlord and tenant fairly at all times. Whilst we are unable to ascertain the identity of this reviewer, we can state unequivocally that we have never, and will never, make any unfair deductions from a tenant deposit. We are sorry that you were unhappy with the process and outcome of your application for one of our properties. As you will appreciate, we must take steps to ascertain the identity and financial stability of an applicant before we allow a lease to be granted. This includes asking for supporting documents such as previous landlord references and proof of address etc. Such documents are used for this purpose only and are securely destroyed as soon as they are no longer required. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed).
