I have recently sold my house through dowen in Durham and also rented a property through them. I would highly recommend them as a great service was provided by manager John and sales negotiator Sally in selling my property. John agreed a very reasonable fee and Sally worked her socks off to help it go through despite some difficulties from the buyer.

I wouldn't recommend Dowen for letting. Poor communication and not one of my prospective tenants were shown around the property, meaning time had to be taken out of work to show them around. Not proactive in finding a tenant and are very disorganised with communication.

Considering the amount of money we pay them to 'manage' the property i would have expected at least a call to let us know that our rental income is late, and also the rental money to be forwarded to us at the earliest opportunity rather then them just sitting on it for a week or 2.Attached Filesnbsp;
