I have had exactly the same problem with Connells in Eastleigh. Didn't want their mortgage advice and low and behold after speaking with a seller who was desperate to sell I put the first offer in for the full asking price. Connells then fobbed me off for 3 days saying that as it was a Shared Ownership property they had to have agreement from the housing association before my offer could be accepted. Sounds to me that your house was overpriced. You say you we're misled on the price but in another sentence say you wanted offers over?? Every estate agent in the land wants to sell your house, that's how they make a living, the fact that this branch was still booking viewings to the end shows that yet were doing they're job correctly. Avoid extorting tenants. Respond to tenant issues and treat them like humans not just a number that pays rent. Being too obvious that all they cared about was how much money they could get from the tenant.

Only overpriced properties do not sell. If you weren't so greedy you would have sold within weeks. Estate agents work incredibly long hours, i'm talking 8 till 6 six days a week so why would you need them to be answering their personal phones late at night or on a sunday? Think about it. ...

Connells should have given me writing the amended fee when I asked, but because they did not they have had an extra 400+vat off of me, when the agent told me that he was autherised to reduce the fee.
