We paid £598 for lifetime Connells mortgage advice. This may seem like a lot, but the mortgage deal Karl has found for us had no survey and set-up fees, which when I compared mortgage on comparison sites, many time easily exceeded this number.

Agency fees are not worth it - 200 to do a credit check and a reference check experience does credit check for free, 1 phone call to your current employer does not cost more then 1 pound on the phone bill

I think the agency commission I pay is a fair rate (when no problems) and probably market standard. Considering the amount I am dealing with Sian and Connells I will probably get an invite to the staff Christmas party. The help I am getting is amazing, I cannot recommend Sian enough.
