To correct the story - deposit is currently going through the adjudication process as required - we requested funds for the clean after the end of the tenancy - the tenant disputed, the disputed funds were sent to the deposit scheme with the balance of deposit sent immediately back to the tenant. the dispute is going through the correct legal procedure as set out under the terms of the deposit scheme - nothing unethical about that. What agent could do to change your mind?
Actually done their job. Not been rude. Followed their end of the contract by giving us 24 hours notice before people would just waltz into our flat. Also actually fixed things like boilers. Not got very abrupt the minute we suggested we wanted compensation for the fact we've been without water for 3 separate four day stints in the last 5 months, and often it runs out very quickly anyway - because the boiler is broken - and because it STILL isn't fixed - and because they don't treat us like clients, they treat us like an annoying job they need to sort out... possibly after they've gone for lunch or something. Horrendous company. No wonder estate agents have a bad reputation.

1. The flurry of spelling errors and grammatical mistakes in this response is completely reflective of the care and attention I'd expect from CityZen. 2. Saying that every time our boiler has broken you've sent someone round within 24 hours isn't true. You may have "reported it" within 24 hours (sent an email which has got lost in the plumbers inbox and not bothered chasing up) but I can guarantee on a number of occasions it's not been looked at within 24 hours. 3. What agent could do to change your mind?
1. Fire Simon (unless he is the manager?) - he just gives you a bad name full stop. Too cocky 2. Teach the staff some manners and explain each one of them what their job really is. And no, it is not harass tenants at the end of contract. 3. return calls and show some interest in your job - we can see that you hate it

I rented a flat via CityZen after I saw these bad reviews of them. I thought I wouldn't be so unfortunate to come across any difficulties with them. But one thing I can confirm is, they are extremely irresponsible. They promised something but after I paid the rent they are like I never promised you this and that. I used to have Foxtons as my previous agent. I have heard some bad thing about them, but comparing to CityZen, Foxtons is way more responsible and caring about their tenant. Anyways, ...

He is far from being stupid. The agent could have provided assistance on how to switch off the alarm. I work in the legal side of property dealings and should he have tried to turn off the alarm at his on accord without instructions from the agency, the agent can easily say that the tenant tampered with the alarm box without calling for assistance. ...
