Dear Valued tenant, It is very difficult for us to understand what you believe went wrong, what we have done in order to avoid any misunderstandings or "hidden fees" is to disclose any payment you have to do in order to move in. You received a paper called "Holding Deposit" that paper explains how much you pay and for what reason you are paying. Fairly used to being warned two months in advance of having to leave. If no notice is given there is the convention that the contract automatically rolls over. City Rooms don't do this, they hand you an S21 with your contract and give no warning ...

Give me clear and reasonable notice that I need to move out and/or offer to renew the contract. Actually cover the energy bills if that is what they led me to believe would be the arrangement when I signed the contract.

What agent could do to change your mind?
1. Common courtesy and better communication. 2. An actual genuine interest in helping you rather than being rude, dismissive and uninterested. 3. Better time keeping and keeping your word. Honesty goes a long way and people will trust you in the long run. 4. A clearly laid out information sheet with all the different charges you may incur. This company seems to be making up charges left right and center. Someone should defiantly investigate how legally this company operates.

Damien is very nice and helpful. But unfortunately you work for a careless company that will drag you down. I mostly had issues with the people in the office, no Damien.

The fees for the agent were, I guess, fair. The rent in my flat was much higher than what anyone else paid there. I knew people who lived in their own places in the same building for the same amount I paid for one room.

What an awful agency. Their only interest will be to take as much money as they can from you for several made-up reasons, they will never take care any problems you have and any communication you will succeed to have with them will be ONLY when they are asking money from you. They have no respect for privacy,you will find them in your room for no reason many times. They make their offers so appealing in order to drag you in their horrible money-sucking world . Only thing you will find same as promised will be probably the color of the wall. Also the reviews above on this site are written by their staff. That's the only reason they have some good reviews."Chiara" or "Eva" are currently working in that agency so all this review thing is a scum as well.Search for other reviews on the web. you will find out the truth about them.

This is probably the worst agency around London regarding accommodation. They seem very friendly and liable at first but as far as you sign your contract they reveal their unprofessional-ism. They will try to squeeze as much money as the can out of you. The internet in the rooms is crap. Be extra careful on "ALL BILLS ARE INCLUDED" cause that a big lie.Bills water, electricity, gas and TV licence is not included PLEASE read the small part before sign the contract you will find it out there is a limit of 30‚£ nowadays 30‚£ is not enough for a flat with 3 rooms and you will have to pay more, TV Licence if you don't pay it is a crime and you go to court can even go to prison, if you decide to pay of course you will it will cost ‚£230.00p/y. The cleaner is only 1 time per mount or 2. Thecityroom do not provide the cleaner with what they need so they will not buy anything If you decided to move before your contract finish you will lost all your deposit maybe even pay more if they don;t find someone else to move into the flat. I have move out a month now and they refuse to give back my deposit even if i have paid loads of money to them just for breaking fees.The most suspicious thing is that they will encourage you to find a replacement for the room but they DO NOT DEAL WITH BRITISH PEOPLE which sounds very odd to me. They said that the LANDLORD does is requesting an international tenant but i spoke to the landlord and he has no idea about this clause. In the day you move out they will not give back your deposit you will have to wait 5 weeks and in the last day they will charge you a lot of things like damage etc. The best advice is! rent a room without contract it is safer cheaper and easy for you to deal direct with the person you rent they probably will like you and even give you dinner. There is a lot of people nowadays renting they rooms in they houses. I would recommend better stay in a bench than spend your money to this agency
