Not lied, turned up on time. Spoken with their client rather than accepting the word of one of their employees who was clearly lying to cover her own back.

I second this. * utterly incompetent. Ignores emails, leaves some issues with the property unaddressed for months even though I have authorised work to be done, but goes ahead with other unnecessary work without consulting. Rent payments are regularly late because of admin failures, no apology or explanation. Avoid like the plague. ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
The service from this estate agent has been so bad that I doubt that they are capable of providing good service. Had they been honest about the correct expected completion date we would've been able to make an informed decision about making an offer. They should've advised us of the real expect completion date both at the time of making our offer and before incurring any expenses on legal fees, mortgage/valuations.
