They took a deposit from me for an apartment and later changed the terms of the apartment. They have not refunded the deposit. I lodged a complaint with the county court and that did not help as well. Keep far away!...

I rented from BPS they are in arrears with the landlords rent.
Their excuse to the landlord was that I was not paying the rent - rubbish.
I moved out they would not give me my deposit back I put a CCJ on them and got judgement against them - they have ignored it. ...

I agree . My three months rents still ovedue
since 2009. However I terminated my services with BPS on Nov 2009 and handed my property to an Agency in London. We are now in touch with HMCS
and Thames Valley Police to claim our outstanding rent. These rougue Estate Agents have to be taught a lesson ...

I have made small video about them, just type berkshire property services on youtube. I have won with these, as I went strong on to them. You just have to do what I did to get your money back people. Do not take them to court - waste of time AND money again. Go there with few people, sit in their office, do some scenes, picketing, say you will not leave without the money. If this is true maybe you should consider taken them to court, a new law has been recently brought out regarding estate agents and Landlords.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
