This tickled me so I though I would comment. If a landlord brought a hoover he would have to pay every year for an electrician to PAT test it. So a £50 hoover would cost £50PA to maintain..........Personally I would say this agent were very good and protecting their clients interest. So to Paraphrase "very good agent ! To date the DPS is still waiting for you to respond to them in regards to the single sided claim. At every step we have been in touch with your new agent Carol at Barratts, I have emails confirming we have kept them informed. As you are aware the deposit is protected by a deposit scheme so we have NO control over the overall repayment. There are rules and procedures to follow. While not an agents fee the dispute service that Belvoir Liverpool ( West Derby) are linked ti is one that charges,, currently ‚£60 which becomes yet another overhead for the landlord to meet with the tenant being provided with this service for nothing. There is a free option which they have chosen not to use, which i would much prefer they utilized.
