They offer a lot but deliver nothing. I've canceled my 'fully managed' contract with Beal as they failed to deal with any issue and indeed did not collect all the rent or deposit. For 15% of the monthly fee this is robbery. I wish I'd read the reviews on this site before using them it could have saved me a lot of money.

Did you have to pay the buyout fee to leave them? I am in the process of trying to leave as their service has been appauling! Im so angry and its actually making me quote unwell with worry! Their 'fully managed' service left me nearly £200 out of pocket from rent arrears and the tenant trashed the house. ...

Rescheduled the booking which they'd cancelled, explained clearly their policy regarding holding properties and adjourned said policy.

They make promises they do not keep! My daughter left her house in Southsea, Portsmouth and I was verbally told she would not get her retainer deposit back UNLESS someone took her place. She did find a replacement.................they then went back on their word and then got ANOTHER £180 from the new tenant. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING THAT THEY PROMISE and don't be swayed when they tell you how wonderful a property is. My daughter's so say 'great house' had loads of mould and they rarely go ...

Please consider making a formal complaint to the governing bodies and to the Trading Standards office. Beals needs to be brought to account for their questionable practices and incompetent handling of even the basics of property management. Good luck with recovering the money for the over-paid rent. ...

I have experienced similar problems and came close to taking them to court. My advice is get away from them as soon as possible. I highly recommend the 'New Era' agency based in Southsea - they really are excellent and offer the personal touch. ...

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
