Me and my boyfriend liked a flat very much and we tried to obtain a viewing as the flat was still available. We called at Ashtons several times, we tried to make an online booking but we got no response from them. They always said ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent should have shown more interest by being more flexible about arranging the viewing, should have told the truth from the beginning that he wants to obtain more than 1 reference fee and the landlord will decide who he wants as a tenant after Ashtons cash in at least 2-3-4 reference fees and we would have looked for other properties where we know that the agents are serious.

No fees information available
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
