I have to say that I'm not a serial complainer. I've only ever officially complained about something once, but I feel pretty angry with Jackson's so decided to post this review too.
Having rented a few flats, I understand that lots of estate agencies leave a few of their properties on property sites even when they've been snapped up. But Jackson's were hideous offenders.
Not only did they leave ads on Right Move of flats that had long gone, but when I sent them SIX links to the flats I liked from their WEBSITE, they told me NONE of them were available and actually they only had two properties available, none of which were the same standard. I know they try to get you interested in them, but I thought this was DISGUSTING. Especially considering the only excuse they had was that they'd 'just gone under offer'. I very much doubt that ALL of them had just gone under offer.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Not lied about the flats, taken the unavailable flats from their website as soon as they'd gone under offer

My name is Simon A. Scott, I am a Director of Jacksons and I am writing to respond to your comments.
I am very sorry to read that you are disatisfied with the response you have received to enquiries about properties being available. I understand how frustrating it can be phoning round agency after agency being told the same thing again and again. In truth we have no desire to try and get people to phone up from 'old' stock, nor do we have any obvious benefit from doing so, especially given we have a very large portfolio of property which would almost be drowned out by this 'ghost stock', especially on portals.
I can assure you that this is not practiiced by my agency, yes portals will always have old properties, that is becuase it is notoriously difficult to keep an up to date list of stock on places such as rightmove and because their feeds are taken only once a day. I genuinely feel this will improve over time especially given that rightmove will start testing 'live' feeding of property onto a beta site within the next few months.
I would also like to be transperant and point out that we are an agency that will let around 300 properties per month or 10 to 15 per working day, so there is every chance that the properties you enquired about could have been let within the timeframe you speak off. We also have a 'live feed' to our website and ALL properties are set to under offer the moment a holding deposit is taken, and we have no desire to disorientate or deceive our customers.
Once again, i am sorry if you feel your expereince has been poor with the company. I will happily try and rectify this situation, if you contact me at my email adress which is [email protected], I would like to send you something that would go some way to alleviating your annoyance.
regards,
