I paid over 3 percent the market rate is generally 1.5 the sliding scale element looks on the face of it really good and I really do think that Yinka drives the value up however it is still very high for little work further down the line. My own fault though I should have drove the amount down further.

We are disappointed to read this as we feel we have done a very good job for our client. Our fee is performance related hence the percentage varies should we get higher or lower offers, in this instance we managed to get several buyers interested, in turn getting a very good offer and higher than what our client expected.

FNW have a unique fee structure, if the price you are hoping for isn't reached, then you pay less than some agencies, and a lot less than most. The more they get over the asking price, the higher a percentage they receive. This gives them real motivation to get the house sold, and at a good price. I've been very happy so far.

I'm sorry you felt our fees were too high, however these were agreed with you at outset and you were happy at this time to agree them. Its not really common practice for anyone to change their contract once its agreed and especially not several months down the line.

For my sale, the agent used a tiered fee structure (as opposed to a flat %) based on the different levels of the target sale price. However, as I was abroad and the entire process was handled by them this was acceptable for me.
